Potters Wheel

Pictures often capture great moments in life. However as most of you know pictures can be deceiving. Pictures often hide the hurt that we are feeling inside. Hurt that includes the loss of a loved one, physical and mental abuse, loss of employment, homelessness, drug abuse and the list goes on.

We were made from the dust of the earth and the Master breathed the Breath of Life into us, shaping and molding us in His image.

The potter can form his product in one of many ways. Clay may be modeled by hand or with the assistance of a potter's wheel. Clay may be jiggered using a tool that copies the form of a master model onto a production piece, may be poured into a mold and dried, or cut or stamped into squares or slabs.

This season you may find yourself broken. The bible depicts man as being flawed by sin and in need of repair. But remember the Potter can put you back together again.

Pottery must be fired to a temperature high enough to mature the clay, meaning that the high temperature hardens the piece to enable it to hold water. Thus you begin to heal you no longer have cracks and bruises that occur from the worries of this world.

The majority of you I speak to daily and I know your struggle and pain. I realize that you smile to keep from crying.

But know that once you have weathered life's storm, you shall come forth as pure gold. In the midst of your adversity you can stand and shine. He is transitioning you into a wonderful unimaginable metamorphosis! You will indeed become 'picture perfect'.
